How we chose and ordered these tools
Tibexa publishes this list and is a vendor of outbound services. We do not sell or resell an AI visibility tool, so none of the entries is ours. We listed tools that track brand mentions or citations in AI answers and whose own pages we could fetch, and we ordered them by what a buyer can verify: free first-party data first, then tools that publish a full price table, then tools that publish partial or no pricing. Every page was checked 18 October 2026. Prices are given as each page showed them, in that page's currency. Vendor statements about customers and ratings are marked as the vendor's claims.

What AI visibility tracking can and cannot measure
The paid tools work by sampling. Ahrefs defines one check as one prompt on one platform in one location, AthenaHQ defines one credit as one AI response, and Semrush asks you to add target prompts to a campaign. You choose the questions, the tool asks them on a schedule, and it records whether your brand appears.
The weak point is that the answers change. SparkToro asked 600 volunteers to run 12 prompts through ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI, 2,961 responses in all. The same list of brands came back in two responses less than 1 time in 100, and the same order roughly 1 time in 1,000. The author concludes that visibility percentage across dozens to hundreds of prompts run several times is a reasonable metric, and that a ranking position from these tools is unreliable. He also lists the caveats: the work is not peer reviewed, the surveys ran in November and December 2025 and newer models may behave differently, and his co-researcher joined Gumshoe, an AI-tracking company (SparkToro). Seer Interactive makes a related point: personalization means your CEO's results will look different from yours (Seer).
So a tracker can show a trend in how often your brand appears across a stable prompt set. It cannot show what a given buyer saw, how many people asked, or whether anyone clicked. Microsoft says its page-level citation data "reflects how often pages are cited, not page importance, ranking, or placement." Use the trend as one input beside referral traffic and the pipeline numbers in your CRM. Nothing we read supports a claim that you can "rank" in ChatGPT. For Google's own AI features, its guide says optimizing is still SEO (Google).
Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
Best as the free baseline for any site owner. Google announced Search Generative AI performance reports on 3 June 2026. They show impressions of your URLs in AI Overviews and AI Mode in Search, and in generative features in Discover, with pages, countries, dates and (for Search) devices. A note on the post says the reports reached all websites worldwide by 31 August 2026. The post does not mention clicks. Bing's AI Performance report, in public preview since 10 February 2026, shows total citations, average cited pages, page-level citation counts and sampled grounding queries across Microsoft Copilot, Bing AI summaries and select partner integrations.
Pricing: free. A limit to know: each covers only its own company's AI features, not ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini. Sources: Google and Bing, checked 18 October 2026.
Otterly.AI
Best for small teams that want every price and add-on on one page. Otterly tracks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot on all plans, with Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini as paid add-ons.
Pricing as published: the page shows two sets of figures without saying which is annual. One set is Lite $29, Standard $189, Premium $489 a month; the other is $25, $160 and $422. Lite includes 15 prompts, Standard 100 and Premium 400. Extra prompts cost $99 a month per 100 on Standard and Premium, and Enterprise is custom. A limit to know: Lite cannot buy extra prompts, and the FAQ says "All subscriptions are on a monthly basis" while the page also offers annual billing at 15 percent off. Source: Otterly pricing, checked 18 October 2026.
Scrunch
Best for teams that want published tiers and many engines on every plan. Scrunch lists ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, and Meta on all plans. It also tracks AI bot crawling of your site and sells an Agent Experience Platform that serves AI agents a separate, lightweight version of your site.
Pricing as published: Starter $250 a month billed annually or $300 month to month, with 3 user licenses and 350 custom prompts; Growth $417 annually or $500 monthly, with 5 licenses and 700 prompts; Enterprise is custom. Extra seats cost $25 a month. Limits to know: Scrunch says it is trusted by 500+ companies and agencies, which is its own claim, and its page says the Agent Experience Platform improves crawl success and citations but gives no data for that. Source: Scrunch pricing, checked 18 October 2026.
Rankscale
Best for buyers who prefer to pay by check volume. Rankscale sells credits: Pro includes 1,200 a month and tracks up to 4,800 answers, and a ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or AI Mode query costs 0.25 credit while Claude costs 2. It names ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral, Claude and Copilot, plus Grok.
Pricing as published, per month: Essentials $17 (yearly only), Pro $99, Pro+ $229, Growth $385, Enterprise $780, with a 15 percent saving for yearly billing. A limit to know: the page states no limits or engines for Essentials, and the REST API is not in Pro. Source: Rankscale pricing, checked 18 October 2026.
AthenaHQ
Best for teams that want to test before paying. AthenaHQ has a free Essential tier with 300 credits across five engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Copilot). Starter lists 11, adding AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral.
Pricing as published: Starter is $295 a month with 3,600 credits, and annual billing is shown as 17 percent off without a stated annual price. Enterprise is custom. A limit to know: the page defines one credit as one AI response, so every prompt, engine and repeat run draws down the same pool, and API access and extra credits are add-ons priced through sales. Source: AthenaHQ pricing, checked 18 October 2026.
Ahrefs Brand Radar
Best for teams already inside Ahrefs who want a large prompt database as well as their own prompts. Brand Radar covers AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot, with Claude available, and reports mentions, citations and AI share of voice.
Pricing as published on Ahrefs' pricing page: the Brand Radar AI add-on starts from $199 a month, and custom-prompt packages are Basic $50 (2,500 checks a month), Growth $100 (7,000) and Scale $250 (25,000). The Brand Radar page shows euro figures instead (from 47 and 179 euros a month), so the two pages disagree; confirm at sign-up. Limits to know: Claude uses 8 checks per update, and the pricing page does not say whether a base Ahrefs plan is required. Sources: Ahrefs pricing and Brand Radar, checked 18 October 2026.
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
Best for teams already on Semrush that want AI tracking beside classic SEO data. The toolkit reports an AI Visibility Score from 0 to 100, share of voice, sentiment, top cited domains and daily prompt tracking with an average position. Its help page says prompt tracking covers ChatGPT Search, Google's AI Mode and Gemini, while the pricing page shows ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google Search "& more."
Pricing as published: AI visibility sits inside plans. Starter is $165.17 a month billed annually ($199 monthly) with 50 prompts tracked daily and 1 domain; Pro+ is $248.17 ($299) with 100 prompts; Advanced is custom. Limits to know: competitor research is capped at your domain plus four competitors, the help page does not explain how the data is collected, and the average position metric should be read with the SparkToro caveat above. Sources: Semrush pricing and Semrush help, checked 18 October 2026.
Profound
Best for enterprise brands that want a platform beyond monitoring. Profound's site lists Monitor (answer insights, prompt volumes, shopping, agent analytics) and an AI Marketer that drafts content for approval, and names ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek and Google AI Overviews. It says it is "trusted by a third of the Fortune 100," which is its own claim.
Pricing: the page we fetched lists a free trial (3 engines, 50 prompts run daily for 7 days) and an Enterprise tier with custom pricing and up to 9 engines. Its FAQ mentions an Agency Growth plan with 400 credits a month per client workspace, with no price. A limit to know: no figures are published for paid tiers, so pricing needs a sales conversation. Sources: Profound pricing and homepage, checked 18 October 2026.
Peec AI
Best for marketing teams and agencies that want tracking with a Looker Studio connector, CSV export, an API and an MCP server. Peec's homepage says it tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, with AI Mode tracker pages, and includes a crawlability audit across 40+ bots. It claims it is "trusted by 3500+ brands and agencies" and "rated 4.7/5 on G2"; both are Peec's claims and we did not check G2.
Pricing: not published on the pages we fetched. The pricing page names Starter, Pro and Advanced as monthly plans and Enterprise as annual and custom, with a "Talk to Sales" link, but showed no prices or limits. A limit to know: you cannot compare Peec's prompts or engines per plan without contacting the vendor. Sources: Peec homepage and pricing, checked 18 October 2026.
How to choose
Turn on the Search Console and Bing reports first, since they cost nothing. If you then need ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini, pick the cheapest tier that lets you run a stable set of prompts several times each, and judge it on the share of runs in which you appear. For agencies that sell this work, see GEO and AI search visibility agencies, and for how it differs from classic search work read GEO vs. SEO.
AI visibility is one source of buyers. The meetings in our own work come from outbound, such as the PR and brand agency that booked 130+ meetings, 24 of them in the first 12 days. If that is the number you need, see our GTM strategy service.
Questions
Can any tool tell me my ranking in ChatGPT?
Tools report a position, but SparkToro's study found the same list of brands appeared in two responses less than 1 time in 100 and the same order about 1 in 1,000. Its author recommends tracking visibility percentage across many runs instead.
Is there a free way to track AI visibility?
Yes, for Google and Microsoft. Google Search Console has Search Generative AI performance reports for AI Overviews and AI Mode, and Bing Webmaster Tools has an AI Performance report for Copilot citations. Neither covers ChatGPT or Perplexity.
Which tools publish their prices?
On the pages we checked on 18 October 2026, Otterly, Scrunch, Rankscale, AthenaHQ, Ahrefs and Semrush publish figures. Profound publishes only a free trial and a custom Enterprise tier, and Peec published no prices.
How many prompts should I track?
No source we read gives a required number. SparkToro's author suggests dozens to hundreds of prompts, each run multiple times, so the entry tiers of most tools are enough only for a narrow topic.
