Problem and goal

Igrek casts very large parts. Its customers were mostly automotive. To grow, it wanted die makers and stamping companies.

Infrastructure and data

We set up 20 domains for email. Companies that machine only small parts were removed at the start because they do not fit heavy casting. From a global company database we found over 9,000 firms across Europe and North America.

Segmentation and scoring

We sorted the firms into foundry, plastics, BIW (body in white, the ideal segment) and heavy machinery. Each was scored from 0 to 100, which gave 1,800 ideal firms.

Competitive edge in the message

The messages used three advantages: a fast supply chain, defect-free quality and the capacity to cast very large single pieces. That combination made a strong case for urgent projects.

Results

In week one a press company from Ireland visited the factory. The BIW segment was small, so we added heavy industry and 5,300 more firms. Distributor candidates appeared in Ireland and the United States, and factory visits took place in both. The campaign is still running.

“In the first week a company came to visit the factory. That speed surprised us.”Management, Igrek
